The Juba Electricity Distribution Company (JEDCO), a public-private partnership between Ezra Group and SSEC, is responsible for distributing the generated electricity to consumers in Juba. JEDCO receives bulk energy from Ezra Construction & Development Group and distributes it across the region.
In the Juba area, all health facilities reported having access to electricity, with 89% connected to the JEDCO mini-grid as the primary source followed by generators (9%) and solar home systems (3%), shown in Figure 23 below. Most (75%) of the facilities using solar devices reported to have fully paid for them, while 25% were partially sponsored.
