Overall, according to several studies, the adoption of the PV+ system currently has positive LCA results. It means that the avoided environmental impacts play a more prominent role by offsetting fossil-based power replaced by generated electricity of PV+.
Among them, the PV+ system in Wangxiaoying WWTP, starting operation in 2018, has an installed power capacity of 10.8 MWp , making it the largest PV+ project at that time.
